Very common in the subalpine and a classic component of Mount Rainier's best-known meadows, this perennial also grows along streams and in moist, open woods above 4500 feet. Photographed (left and center) at Louise Lake on July 9, 2014 and (right) at Reflection Lakes on July 31, 2013.
