Common along streams, in moist forests, and often seen at trailsides, up to 5000 feet, less common on the east side of the Park. There are no petals and the sepals fall quickly - what is seen are numerous white stamens with greenish pistils at the center. Photographed where Deer Creek crosses Westside Road on July 8, 2014.
