Fairly common and typically a plant of wet meadows, up to 6000 feet. This showy orchid also colonizes some unusual places, as along roadside parking areas, in thin soils on smooth rocks at Box Canyon, and on the Kautz Creek debris flow. Photographed (left and center) at Box Canyon on August 3, 2014, and (right) in the Longmire meadow on August 16, 2014.
