Very common and often occurring in large numbers, this species is found on cliffs, rock outcrops, and stony slopes between 4000 and 8000 feet throughout the Park. "Spreading" refers to the arrangement the little seed capsules as they mature. Photographed in Stevens Canyon on July 1, 2014.
