Common and conspicuous both in flower and in fruit, this shrub grows up to 5500 feet in moist places slopes, in forests, and along streams, as well as at roadsides. Photographed (left and center) in Stevens Canyon on June 11, 2014, and (right) at Ipsut Pass, July 22, 2015.
