One of the two common willows in the subalpine (Undergreen Willow is the other), reaching 7000 feet and typically growing along streams, in meadows, and on wet, rocky slopes. The pollen-bearing male catkins are shown at left; the seed-bearing female catkins at right. Photographed at Paradise, July 1, 2016.
