Baldhip Rose - Rosa gymnocarpa
Common in open woods, reaching 4500 feet, but usually seen lower, throughout the Park. The name comes from the fact that the dried flower parts fall from the seed-bearing hip as it develops. Photographed (left) at the Ohanapecosh Campground on June 20, 2014, (center) along the Silver Falls Trail, June 21, 2014, and (right) at Laughingwater Creek on September 8, 2016.
