White Water-Buttercup - Ranunculus aquatilis var. aquatilis
Widespread in the Park below 6000 feet, growing in ponds and slow-moving streams. In this example, the leaves are cut into numerous thread-like segments that remain submerged. In plants growing in shallower water flat, floating leaves may also be present. Photographed at Longmire Meadow, August 2, 2014.
