Imbricate Sword Fern - Polystichum imbricans
Similar in appearance to Western Sword Fern, this species has narrower, shorter fronds and leaflets that overlap on the central stem. It grows in crevices and among rocks, to about 4500 feet. Photographed on the Silver Falls Trail, June 5, 2014.
