Licorice Fern - Polypodium glycyrrhiza
Common only in the lower reaches of the Nisqually and Ohanapecosh Valleys, to about 3000 feet. It will only be found growing on mossy logs, tree trunks (especially Bigleaf Maple), and mossy cliffs and ledges. Photographed on Westside Road, July 25, 2014.
