A widespread grass, occurring from about 5000 to nearly 7000 feet, this species can vary greatly in stature. Much shorter than plants growing at lower elevations in the Park, these were photographed (left) on Second Burroughs Mountain on August 26, 2014, and (right) at Reflection Lakes, August 1, 2014.
