White Bog Orchid - Platanthera dilatata var. leucostachys

A common orchid, growing along small streams, in wet meadows, and in roadside ditches, growing between 2000 and 5000 feet. Plants at Longmire can reach five feet high and the flowers are scented of clove. Photographed at the Longmire Meadow, June 2, 2014.
