An eye-catching but uncommon species, this small shrub can be found between about 3000 and 7000 feet (one of the widest ranges among the Park's flora), growing at roadsides, on sunny banks, on talus slopes, and on moist cliffs. Photographed in Stevens Canyon June 4, 2014.
