The common lupine between 5000 and 7000 feet throughout the Park, growing in meadows, open slopes, and in open forests close to timberline. It forms vast sheets of blue close to Upper Palisades Lake. Photographed (left to right) at Snow Lake, on the Skyline Trail, and at Tipsoo Lake  between early and late August.
