Common and abundant in subalpine as well as in sunny thickets and open woods, from 4500 to 6500 feet; most frequently seen on the south and west sides of the Park. Photographed on the Lakes trail, August 1, 2014 (left) and August 2, 2013 on the Skyline trail.
