Golden Sedge - Carex aurea

Rare and not observed in the Park since the 1930s when it was collected at Longmire -  until it was found in a wet roadside ditch below Chinook Pass and photographed on September 8, 2016. Also called "Pumpkin Sedge" for its odd, round, orange perigynia.
