Maidenhair Spleenwort - Asplenium trichomanes ssp. trichomanes
Fairly common in crevices on cliffs and low, rocky outcrops, reaching about 3500 feet, in the Nisqually and Ohanapecosh River Valleys. A second fern, American Parsley Fern (Cryptogramma acrostichoides), can be seen in the photo at right. Photographed on Westside Road on August 14, 2014.
