Bristly Manzanita - Arctostaphylos columbiana

Uncommon shrub found in just a few places: in lower Stevens Canyon, in the Tatoosh Mountains, and on the hillside east of the Park entrance gate on Highway 123, where it was photographed on August 16, 2014. These plants have finished blooming; the flowers were small, white bells.
