Rare and unmistakable, this leafless plant is scattered throughout the Park below 4000 feet in older forests. It can reach about 20 inches in height. Photographed (left to right) on the Silver Falls Trail on June 5, 2014,  in the Ohanapecosh Campground on June 20, 2014, and between Tahoma and Kautz Creeks on June 22, 2016.
