Notable for occurring in small, beautiful stands in a number of places between 3000 and 5000 feet and not, unlike the similar Silver Fir, dominant anywhere. In the Park, this tree can reach to be 200 feet tall. Photographed (left and center) along the road to Sunrise on September 2, 2013,  (right above) on the Laughingwater Creek trail on June 21, 2014, and (right below) along Highway 410 below Cayuse Pass on September  9, 2016.
